The UT3xx Rectifier module performs hardware based rectification of the RF signal. It is normally required in systems using hardware peak detectors or systems using eight bit waveform digitizers where an extra bit (6 dB) of dynamic range is required. The rectifier function can be turned on and off from the front panel or via software commands.
Hardware based rectification is normally not needed if your acquisition software is capable of rectification |
